The Earls of Babylon are BACK, and Paul GOT BACK again too!

Greetings friends far and wide!

It’s been awhile, and I miss you all!

I’ve been busy as a bee lately, and you’re about to find out why!

First, I’m pleased to announce that The Earls of Babylon, my garage rock side project with Steve Conte, are back with a brand new single, a bluesy dirty ditty called “Piece of my Mind”.

This new Limited Edition 7” single is now available right here on cool clear vinyl.

Piece of my Mind is our followup to last year’s debut single, My Little Frankenstein.

My friend and label mate, Steve & I had a blast writing this over the interwebs, from the East and West coast of the country, then we recorded it together all in one day at Stevie Van Zandt’s soulful Renegade Studios in NYC.

We called in the magnificent Charley Drayton to play drums (of The Divinyls and Keith Richards’ Expensive Winos fame) and John Conte on bass (Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, and Steve’s talented brother).

This one goes out to all the Karens and Kevins of the world who always demand to see the manager.

The B-Side is called Hungry, and it’s a song you might recognize (yes, its our version of the Paul Revere and the Raiders song!)

I hope you have as much fun listening as we had writing and recording this one!

The second thing I wanted to tell you is that I am thrilled to be returning to the road again with the inimitable Paul McCartney. After our blockbuster shows in South America, Europe and the UK last year, we’re picking it up here again in the good ol' USA, with a smattering of dates in Canada, leaving no one UN-ROCKED!

It seems to me that now more than ever we need to escape together and bask in the glory of live music made by real humans in real time, on cool guitars, amps, keyboards, horns, and drums, and without playing along to digital tracks. There’s a connection that happens between you in the audience, and us on stage, that I believe is a healing and bonding experience, one which I feel we are all in need of in these crazy times.

I hope to see some of you out there rockin’ out with us!

Lastly, I’ll be featuring a few of my guitars here on my site, and will regale you with stories of how they came into my life, so stay tuned, ok?

Also, there’s even more BREAKING NEWS coming in October AND November as well, so don’t go far!

Be kind to each other, and Rock Onwards!

All my best,

Brian Ray
