Hello my dear friends, far and wide, it’s been a little while since I gave you my free download of “The Tears of a Clown”. I hope you all enjoyed it and shared it with your friends because sharing is what it’s all about.
I’m writing you all from my gorgeous hotel in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil where we are set to do two big shows here at the brand new Olympic soccer stadium. We will be the first event since they completed it and I’m so psyched about playing here! Needless to say, Paul is in great voice and we’re all in a great mood. It’s springtime and there’s love in the air.. Ok, it’s actually fall down here, but I digress.
overlooking smoggy SantiagoAs some of you know, we had an 11 day break after Santiago where I chose to return to Buenos Aires for 4 guest solo shows in 3 nights. On the night I arrived I opened for John Fogerty with Ciro Fogliatta and his all female blues band. SO fun!! Then, the second night was a crazy energetic mad dash, with 2 of the shows falling on the same night. First at the Cavern Club at 12:30 am, then at Club Mod at 4 am. It was packed at both shows and so many came to sing along to my songs which Nube9 had learned! The final night was a return to The Cavern to play one more cool set.
Take a look at some photos from South America.
I am struck with the fact that music truly IS the universal language of our planet and human community. The fans who came out, singing my lyrics in phonetic English made my heart smile. If we spent more time singing together and less time fighting wars we might get a few thousand more years out of this beautiful blue planet.
Stay tuned here for a post tour wrap up and an announcement of some more cool items I think you will love!
Love,
Brian
I want to thank Nube9, Martin and Joy for all of their assistance in making the Buenos Aires trip so successful.
