Hello, my friends, Just a quick word before I head out to rehearse for a show at THE WHITE HOUSE {!!!} Ok, it’s not often you get to say that, right?

I am so honored to have this opportunity to play with Paul for the President and his wife, as well as most members of the US Senate. Paul is being honored and awarded the Gershwin Award for songwriting. This is only the third time in history the award has been given and it is most deserved, isn’t it?

It’s a privilege beyond measure.

Adding to the excitement of performing alongside Paul is the joy of playing with the artists who will be performing his songs tomorrow night. Among those playing chosen to play songs of Paul’s will be: Elvis Costello, Faith Hill, Jack White, The Jonas Bros., Dave Grohl and Emmylou Harris. We are the “House Band” for all involved and it’s been a blast to learn some of the songs we know in new keys with different arrangements.
